Consensus Platforms Support the "Hormonally Active Substances" National Research Programme

The consensus platforms developed as part of the "Hormonally Active Substances" National Research Programme bring together representatives of science, industry and government in a constructive dialogue.

The consensus platform method developed by int/ext Communications has been implemented as part of the "Hormonally Active Substances" National Research Programme with the aim of bringing together representatives of science, industry and government in a constructive dialogue. Within this dialogue an optimum, generally accepted consensus can be found on the effects of hormonally active substances and measures to minimize these effects. The platforms will result in recommendations to politicians, the authorities and industry.

Dr. Marcel Trachsel, Managing Partner of int/ext Communications and Implementation Officer for the "Hormonally Active Substances" National Research Programme, is responsible for moderation and scientific support; in/ext Communications provides administrative organization.

The consensus platform methodology has served well in practice and can also be applied in other controversial areas.
