Organizational development for the Swiss Crime Prevention

The understanding of crime prevention has changed. Through a clearly perceived role model of the police and close collaboration with cooperative partners, it has gained greater importance. This puts new requirements on Swiss Crime Prevention (SCP), a division of the KKJPD.

In collaboration with the head of the division we created a new mission statement and concept for the SCP. Within this the crime prevention strategy of the police in Switzerland will be defined. The SCP will function as the center of expertise and the national platform for crime prevention. The continuing education for the department will be closely tied with the SCP. After a consultation with the police the KKJPD adopted the new overall concept.
